B.A.S.S. has officially announced the schedule for the 2026 Newport Bassmaster Kayak Series presented by Native Watercraft, featuring six premier fisheries across the country and a championship event held in conjunction with the 2026 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Classic presented by Under Armour in Knoxville, Tennessee.
“The 2026 schedule highlights some of the best and most diverse kayak fisheries in the nation,” said Steve Owens, Bassmaster Kayak Series Tournament Director. “From Florida vegetation to California clear water and everything in between, this trail reflects how kayak fishing continues to thrive nationwide.”
The season kicks off February 7–8 on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes in Florida and will visit top-tier fisheries including Caddo Lake, Santee Cooper, Clear Lake, the Susquehanna River, and the Wolf and Fox Rivers in Wisconsin.
The championship, set for March 11–13, will take place on Chickamauga and Nickajack lakes in Chattanooga, Tennessee — running alongside the 2026 Bassmaster Classic, the biggest stage in bass fishing.
“The growth of kayak fishing under B.A.S.S. has been incredible,” said GL Compton, B.A.S.S. Nation Tournament Manager. “This season truly showcases the variety and skill that make this sport so exciting.”
With the continued expansion of the Bassmaster Kayak Series and the upcoming launch of the Indiana Bass Nation Kayak Series in 2026, Hoosier anglers now have a clear path from local competition to the national spotlight.
