Weathertight Roofing Named Official Sponsor of the 2026 INKBN Angler of the Year Race
We’re proud to officially announce that Weathertight Roofing will serve as the Title Sponsor of the 2026 Indiana Kayak Bass Nation (INKBN) Angler of the Year race.
If you’ve been following along over the past few months as we’ve built out the INKBN platform, you’re already familiar with the Weathertight brand. They were the very first partner to step up and support our vision for growing the kayak fishing community here in Indiana—and now, they’re taking that support even further.
The Road to Angler of the Year
Throughout the 2026 season, anglers competing in our four regular-season events will be chasing the Weathertight Roofing Angler of the Year title.
Scoring will be based on each angler’s best three out of four events, ensuring consistency is rewarded while still allowing for a dropped event. At the end of the season, the angler with the highest overall score will be crowned the 2026 Weathertight Roofing Angler of the Year.
More Than Just a Title
While the Angler of the Year title carries serious weight, the opportunity goes even deeper.
• Top 50% of AOY standings will qualify for the inaugural INKBN State Championship later this summer
• From there, top performers will have the chance to earn qualification spots to the Bassmaster Kayak Series Championship this October
And thanks to Weathertight Roofing and our Title Sponsor, the 2026 Angler of the Year will also take home a $750 gift card to Newport Vessels, adding even more reward to an already prestigious title.
We’ll be sharing more details on both championship paths very soon, but the stakes are already clear—this season is about much more than just individual events.
